Seville
Seville is a beautiful city full of LOTS to see. I recently spent four days in the city and still didn’t have a chance to see everything! Seville is full of history, beauty, cathedrals, and horse drawn carriages.
The Alcazar
The Alcazar is a must see in Seville. If you look up the Alcazar it is sometimes free once a week between certain hours. Full of beautiful paintings, gardens, historical reference, and more it is a place that anyone can enjoy. Make sure to get a four euro audio guide to learn the history of the places you see.
Horses
From the instant you arrive in Seville you will see horse drawn carriages everywhere. All the horses are beautiful, trained, and some even have fancy hair do’s!
Christopher Columbus’s tomb
Most people have heard of Christopher Columbus. But did you know that his tomb is actually in Seville? Well it is, in the Cathedral of Seville you can find the beautiful tomb of the legendary Christopher Columbus. He actually spent a few years studying in Seville before heading off on his last voyage.
The Red Bus
Buying tickets for the red bus in Seville is one of the best ways for getting around the city and learning the history of the city. The red bus takes loops around the city most of the day.
April Fair
If you are in Seville around two weeks after Easter then you can go to the April fair! The Fair is full of brightly colored Flamenco dresses, loud music, and yes more horses. The first thing to do when you get to the April fair is head to a tourist booth and they will give you a map with the tents open to the public circled. The fair is full of tents where you can go to enjoy music, dancing, eating, drinking, and mingling late into the night.
Walking through the town
Walking around Seville you will see street vendors, amazing architecture, and lots of parks. A stroll through the city will let you be able to soak up the culture and the many wonders of this incredible city.
I loved my time in Seville is was a place that is unlike any place I’ve been to. I loved every minute. I will always be able to look back at my time in Seville and remember all the wonders, beauty, and amazing time I had there.
