Amazing Unique Beach in California

One of the most unique  beaches in California has to be the  La  Jolla children’s beach.  Seals started visiting this beach in the 1970’s.

The children’s beach offers the closest look to wild harbor seals anywhere on the west coast of north America!

Some of the seals there were released there after being rehabilitated. These seals were already people friendly and they taught some of the wild seals to be more friendly towards humans as well.

It was a great opportunity getting to swim with the playful little seals.  I was able to get close enough to actually hear them snorting!

This beach did have a LOT of seaweed and was kind of crowded but it was still worth seeing.  I can’t wait till the next time I visit.
