Travel in COMFORT
As you might have guessed, I’ve tried my fair share of travel pillows. After all, when you’re on the hunt for the ultimate travel pillow, it takes some serious testing to find the perfect one. I like to call myself a self-proclaimed expert.
The traditional designs have never worked for me personally. They’re a pain to pack, don’t support my neck (which inevitably leaves me leaning on the shoulder of the stranger next to me), and are typically difficult to clean—something that grosses me out after extensive travel.
So, I’m always excited to try new brands and styles. Recently, I received the Manta Travel Pillow, and let me just say—look at this cool design!
Manta Travel Pillow
I have quite a long list of reasons why I love this travel pillow, making it hard to pick my favorite feature. Instead of using velcro that wears out after a few trips, this pillow features a sturdy latch that lets you tighten both sides of the string simultaneously or adjust each side individually. Plus, if you prefer it unlatched, it’s easy to undo.
One feature I was skeptical about but had to try is their “two-breathe fast inflate.” I can confirm it’s true! The design is fantastic—you can inflate or deflate it in seconds, if not less. One small thing to be aware of is the cover for the inflate/deflate valve—it can come off if you’re not careful while inflating. However, I’ve had no issues as long as it’s securely closed.
As someone with long hair, I’m pretty sensitive to fabrics when traveling. The wrong material can leave me with static hair that’s annoying to deal with mid-trip. Thankfully, the Manta Travel Pillow is made from soft microfiber that feels great and—bonus—is easy to unzip and wash after trips.
Manta recommends four specific positions for the pillow, but I’ve had a blast experimenting to find what’s most comfortable for me. I still can’t decide which position I like best, but it’s by far my favorite travel pillow design.
Even when I’m not traveling, this pillow is amazing for use in the living room or at my desk. In fact, I’ve already had to fend off my husband and other family members from trying to steal it. If that tells you anything, I’d highly recommend not only buying one for yourself but also grabbing one for your travel companion to avoid any pillow disputes!
