DIY Halloween Costume
I love Halloween, it’s so much fun to dress up! That’s probably my favorite part. 😉 Each year I try to think of a interesting and unique costume. I have dressed up in so many different costumes I have been from a refrigeration to a peacock! This year I decided to blog about a simple and yet fun costume idea that almost anyone can do! Audrey Hepburn!!!! I have always enjoyed Audrey Hepburn movies, classics like Breakfast at Tiffany’s to A Roman Holiday. Here’s how my look turned out. It was SO easy and I loved how it turned out. So if you are interested in channeling your inner Audrey Hepburn this Halloween, here’s how!
Audrey Hepburn Costume Makeup
What you need:
-black eyeliner
-black and brown eyeshadow
-blush
-mascara
-fake eyelashes
How to do Audrey Hepburn makeup
1. Apply black eyeliner to top lid of your eye. Draw it on pretty thick once you get to halfway to the corner of your eye. Then make a slight cat eye. 2. Apply the black eyeshadow on your bottom lid. The first time I tried this look I didn’t apply the makeup on thick enough and it really didn’t look right. So lay it on thicker than you think.
3. Put on the brown eyeliner to give more depth to the eyes. And add blush4. Curl your lashes and apply mascara. Apply it very thickly to the bottom lid. Then put on fake lashes, I had thought I could go without the fake lashes on this look but it doesn’t look as good. So I only put on one to show you the difference it makes in the photo below.5. Using a dark eyeshadow that matched your eyebrows, fill in your brows. The thick eyebrows are a trademark Audrey look, however in Breakfast At Tiffany’s they aren’t as thick. 6. Lastly add some bright lips to pull the whole look together.
Audrey Hepburn Hair Tutorial
1. Take the top layer of your hair and push it up and pin it in place to create the first hair poof. 2. Pull your hair into a low ponytail and slowly twist it up to the top of your head.3. Fold over the extra hair as many times as you need so that it does not go over the twist. My hair is long, so I have to fold my hair over several times. 4. Flip the twist over the folder hair, and see how quickly it transforms into a beautiful french twist. 5. Fold the top of the french twist on the top of your head so it creates another poof. 6. Pin it in place.
Now to tie it all together!
Put on a simple black dress and throw on some heels and you’re good to go!
You look gorgeous! Very good Audrey Hepburn Costume tutorial! Keep up the great work! 😉
