Must try Bakery in Coeur D’Alene
During a recent visit to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, I had the pleasure of discovering Woops! Bakeshop, a charming bakery nestled in the historic Wiggett Building at 119 N 4th St.
Owned by Shelly Boyd, a Coeur d’Alene native who opened the bakeshop in September 2018. Woops! specializes in French macarons and other international pastries, which is right up my alley. So clearly I had to investigate.
The bakeshop’s interior is a beautiful blend of modern design and historic charm, featuring original lighting and woodwork that create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The space was adorned with stunning Christmas decorations during my visit, enhancing its festive appeal. What a great place to stop in and visit with friends, on a date, or enjoy a cup of coffee with a pastry and or a good book.I sampled several of their offerings, including pistachio, dulce de leche, and red velvet macarons, all presented in vibrant Christmas colors. Each macaron perfectly balanced delicate crispness and flavorful filling, showcasing the bakery’s commitment to quality. I have high standards and I’m happy to report that Woops! has the same wonderful quality that I miss so often. The almond croissant was a standout, its flaky, buttery layers reminiscent of those I’ve enjoyed in France.
In addition to their pastries, Woops! takes pride in their coffee, offering beverages that complement their sweet treats. The combination of exceptional pastries and great coffee makes it an ideal leisurely place to relax and treat yourself.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this delightful bakery is a must-visit destination in Coeur d’Alene.
Make sure to go and pay them a visit and while you’re at it, tell them I sent you. 😉
