Book Review: The Mark Of Athena

Another Great Rick Riordan Book

At last, The Mark Of Athena has been released! This book is fabulous, and a MUST read. 🙂

The Mark Of Athena is the 3rd book of the the series The Heroes Of Olympus by: Rick Riordan. A series where Greek mythology comes to life in the modern day. Greek and Roman demigods (half human and half olympian god) are constantly saving the world.

This book is told in four voices:
Annabeth Chase: A brilliant daughter of Athena. She ran away from home when she was only 7 with lots of smarts and tons of experience in combat.
Piper Mclean: Not the average daughter of Aphrodite. Who plays down her beauty, has the power to charm-speak, and has a pinch of shyness.
Leo Valdez: Leo is the trickster son of Hephaestus. Leo can summon fire, fix almost everything, and always has a grin on his face.
Percy Jackson: One of the strongest demigods of his time is Percy Jackson the son of Poseidon. Who has already saved the world from disasters many times before.

In the book, Gaea is rising with a plot to rule the world. The queen of Olympus Hera, has brought together two different camps of demigods on Greek one Roman. Of these two camps seven demigods must unit to save the world. The demigods Percy, Jason, Piper, Annabeth, Frank, Leo, and Hazel journey to Rome. There are some crazy twists, mysteries unveiled, and a ending that leaves you craving for more.

This book is well told, keeps you on the edge of your seat, and has the perfect balance of humor, twists, danger, and lots more.

This is one of the best books I’ve read in a while. Once I got it, I couldn’t put it down. I know I will be re-reading this book soon, and I hope you will give it a chance as well. 😀
